Questions people ask before applying

Is it really free?

Yes. There is no fee to apply and no fee to release. We take 0% commission — royalties a release earns are passed through in full.

What does Mazufa actually do for you?

Delivery of your release to the stores we work with, the metadata and quality checks that keep it from being rejected, ongoing catalogue maintenance, and your reporting — all included at 0% commission. Payment processing and any third-party collection costs appear as separate lines on your statement; they are not part of what Mazufa charges.

Are there any other charges?

No release fee, no per-track charge, no yearly subscription. There is no renewal date, which means your catalogue is never taken down because a payment lapsed.

Who owns my music?

You do. Distribution is not a transfer of ownership. The written agreement issued after review sets out exactly which rights you grant us in order to deliver and administer the release, and for how long.

How do I get paid?

Royalties are reported as the stores report them to us, and your statement shows what each source paid before anything is deducted. The payment terms, thresholds and method are set out in the written agreement.

Who can apply?

Anyone, in any language, from any country. Applications are read by a person rather than filtered automatically, and access is granted by review, so a complete application with finished audio and correct credits is treated far more seriously than a rushed one.
