Music made in Germany runs through German-language rap, schlager, techno and house, rock and classical repertoire. Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Frankfurt each host distinct sectors. Recording happens mostly in German, English and Turkish, and titles appear in the Latin alphabet. For metadata, keep the artist name spelled one way across every release, leave accented characters intact rather than stripping them, and set the title language tag to the language actually sung. Setting these fields correctly at upload also avoids duplicate artist profiles later.
The local currency is Euro (EUR). Royalties are reported in the currency the platform pays out in rather than converted market by market, so the exchange rate between reporting and withdrawal is worth planning for. Listeners here mostly reach new music through streaming services, public and private radio, and club and festival circuits. Which platforms and stores a release can reach in this territory varies and is subject to current availability, eligibility and platform rules.
